Ado-Ekiti – An Ado-Ekiti Chief Magistrates’ Court on Friday jailed a 21-year-old man, Tosin Oluwafemi, in prison for suspected murder.
The Prosecutor, Insp. Caleb Leranmo, told the court that the suspect committed the offence on Feb. 14 at Ifaki-Ekiti.
He added that the suspect was charged with collusion, illegal possession of human head and slaughtered of a 12-year-old boy, Joshua Ojo. He said that the suspect went to pick the boy from his school at Ifaki community primary school in Ifaki-Ekiti, slew him and cut off his head.
He also said the offence contravened sections 320, 329A and 319 of the Criminal Code Cap C16 Laws of Ekiti State 2012. The plea of the accused was not taken.
The Chief Magistrate, Adesoji Adegboye, incarcerated the accused in prison till the outcome of the advice from Director of Public Prosecution. He adjourned the case till April 5 for mention.
